Owners and intake

Why it matters
A decision with no owner is one of the quickest ways a rollout stalls. Finding who can accept or block each decision is discovery work, and it comes before any design.
What to practise
Assign owners to the five decisions — Structure & Identity, Access, Governance, Spend and Visibility — by what each owner is accountable for and can commit, not by title. Compare your choices with the worked company’s, where a risk lead co-signs any connector grant that writes. Then run the intake questionnaire on your company’s shape, directory, regulated work and mandate, and read why it flags each decision. Notice the lesson’s warning that Spend and Visibility usually land with someone other than you.
How it fits
This is 6.1.1’s stakeholder map applied to a Claude rollout: owners who can accept or block delivery, and a co-signer where data risk is involved. The intake’s regulated-work and directory questions are early versions of the operating constraints 6.1.3 verifies before calling a workflow feasible.
