Monitor Agent Performance and Telemetry using AgentCore Observability

Why it matters

Agent monitoring needs evidence that supports diagnosis and corrective action. This exercise connects AgentCore Runtime metrics and structured logs to investigating failures, which supports the monitoring design in 4.3.1.

What to practise

Analyze Runtime metrics in CloudWatch for performance anomalies. Query runtime logs with CloudWatch Log Analytics for errors and latency, then correlate structured entries to identify failure causes. Update agent configuration and redeploy to Runtime as corrective action. Configure CloudWatch alarms on key AgentCore metrics, and watch how metrics and log evidence inform the diagnosis.

How it fits

For 4.3.1, focus on connecting metric anomalies to structured log evidence about agent failures. This practises the operational monitoring part of a GenAI telemetry design.
