Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how agentic-system.design handles personal information.

agentic-system.design is an independent technical publication operated by Nikita Galkin, the Data Controller.

Information we process and why

Depending on how you use the site, we may process:

• technical information such as IP address, browser information, request metadata, approximate country or region, and security signals to deliver and protect the site;
• analytics information such as page views, referrers, acquisition sources, and navigation behavior to understand and improve the publication;
• your email address and newsletter activity if you subscribe;
• your name, email address, and message if you use the contact form;
• information you provide when making a privacy request.

We do not currently operate user accounts, payments, advertising networks, remarketing, affiliate tracking, public comments, or AI features that receive user input.

Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on:

• consent for analytics where prior consent is required, and for newsletter subscriptions;
• legitimate interests to operate and secure the site, prevent abuse, maintain limited backups, and respond to ordinary inquiries;
• legal obligations where processing is necessary to handle or document privacy requests.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand site usage and improve the publication.

Google Analytics helps us understand traffic, acquisition, content performance, and selected conversion events.

Microsoft Clarity helps us understand navigation and usability through tools such as heatmaps and session recordings. Form inputs are masked, and we do not intentionally send form contents to Clarity.

We do not connect Google Analytics or Clarity identities to newsletter subscriber email addresses.

Analytics consent

The site uses a geo-based consent model.

For visitors in the EEA, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Canada, and Brazil, as well as visitors whose location cannot be reliably determined, analytics does not load until the visitor accepts it.

Outside those regions, analytics may load by default.

All visitors can enable or disable analytics at any time through Cookie preferences in the footer.

Your analytics preference is stored in your browser for 180 days. Your country is not stored as part of that preference.

Cookies and browser storage

Some storage is necessary to operate and protect the site.

If you use the contact form, Google reCAPTCHA sets a _GRECAPTCHA cookie so we can confirm the request comes from this website. It is loaded only once you start filling the form in, not when the page opens. When analytics is enabled, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity may use analytics cookies and identifiers.

We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies.

Newsletter

The newsletter is provided through Substack.

If you subscribe, Substack processes your email address, subscription status, and newsletter engagement information such as deliveries, opens, views, and clicks.

Email confirmation is enabled, and Substack manages subscription and unsubscribe status.

We may use newsletter engagement information inside Substack to understand newsletter performance, but we do not create a separate person-level marketing profile from it.

Substack may create or associate a Substack reader account with your email address and may process some information independently under its own privacy terms.

For audience portability and disaster recovery, we keep a private monthly backup of the subscriber list in Google Cloud Storage. These backups are not used as a separate newsletter-sending database.

Contact form and privacy requests

If you use the contact form, we collect your:

• name;
• email address;
• message.

The form is protected by Firebase App Check, which uses Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise to confirm that a message comes from this website rather than from an automated script. The reCAPTCHA script is loaded only once you start filling the form in. Because this check runs in your browser, the contact form requires JavaScript.

Your message is submitted to our contact endpoint on Google Cloud, delivered as email by Resend, and kept in our Google Workspace mailbox. It is not stored in an application database, and message contents are not intentionally written to application logs.

Privacy requests are handled through privacy@agentic-system.design.

Service providers and international processing

We use a small number of service providers to operate the publication:

• Google / Google Cloud — hosting, infrastructure, analytics, logging, contact-form abuse protection, and private storage;
• Google Workspace — email and correspondence;
• Resend — delivery of contact-form messages as email;
• Microsoft Clarity — website usability analytics;
• Substack — newsletter subscriptions and delivery.

These providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on the safeguards and contractual mechanisms provided by those services for international data transfers.

You can contact us for more information about the safeguards applicable to a particular transfer.

We do not sell personal data or subscriber lists.

Data retention

Our main retention periods are:

Some provider-managed cookies or suppression records may remain longer where necessary for the service to function or to honor an unsubscribe.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to:

• access your personal information;
• correct inaccurate information;
• request deletion or restriction;
• object to certain processing;
• withdraw consent;
• request data portability where applicable;
• lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

You can change your analytics choice at any time through Cookie preferences.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter using the unsubscribe link included in newsletter emails.

Children

The site is intended for an adult and professional audience and is not specifically directed at children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our processing practices, service providers, or legal requirements change.
